Ladies and Gentlemen,
Well… it was a tough year for volunteers. The number of firefighters was down this year, and as a result, so was the amount collected for the MDA. On Thursday, we shut down a few hours early due to a lack of help, which was a first for me as the coordinator. It was a bit disappointing, I’m not going to lie, but Friday was a full day, with lots of help and lots of fun had by all. A huge “Thank You” to those that were able to make it out and lend a hand for this cause. Local 452 will be giving the Muscular Dystrophy Association a check for $23,020.00!
Please consider getting involved next year. Put it on your calendar early, and let’s continue to put our best foot forward for this worthwhile cause.
